Franklin SquareMetuchen, New Jersey Franklin Square opened for sale in 2000 and was completely sold out by 2002. It has garnered wide recognition for its attractive, walkable neighborhood. It has won state and national awards as an exemplar of Smart Growth and for its use of New Urbanist design principles. Nestled in an older neighborhood of traditional single-family homes, and occupying most of a downtown block, Franklin Square fits in beautifully with its deep red brick and wood-detailed entrance porches, and its tree-lined streets. Franklin Square has 105 units in a wide configuration of housing types, ranging from 1-bedroom, 750 SF affordable units, to 3-bedroom, 3400 SF luxury units on two levels. Franklin Square is just a five-minute walk to downtown stores, restaurants and the train station, which is only a 45-minute ride to Manhattan. Metuchen has a vibrant, attractive downtown, and it was one of the first municipalities in New Jersey to be named a Transit Village. Landmark is proud to have been part of the ongoing story of Metuchen’s success. |
